"While in this mode, if you press a button or move Steam Deck, a new status screen will be shown with download progress," Valve explains. By default, the feature is enabled when your Steam Deck is plugged into a power source. However, you can also choose to enable it while running on battery power through the settings menu. There's a smart safeguard in place: if your Steam Deck's battery level drops below 20 percent, it will automatically enter full sleep mode to conserve power and prevent data loss.
