Michaels brings a wealth of experience, having previously hosted the afternoon show at '92.9 The River', another iconic Tulsa station. But here's where it gets interesting: Michaels' journey began at 103.3 way back in 1995, making his return a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
With Michaels' departure, Griffin Media has appointed Tabatha Grammer as the new PD for KRQV. Grammer, a seasoned radio professional, has been wearing two hats: Program Director for CHR '106.9 K-Hits' and midday host at KRQV. Her radio career spans over a decade, with previous roles including Operations Manager for Great Plains Media and Program Director for CHR stations in Kansas and Kentucky. And this is the part most people miss: Grammer will continue to program KHTT until a successor is found, ensuring a smooth transition.
In her own words, Grammer wrote, "I'm thrilled to announce my new role as PD/Brand Manager for 92.9 The River! It's a perfect fit for me, and I'm proud of the torch we've lit at K-Hits. It's time to pass it on, and I can't wait to see who sits in the 'Legendary K-Hits Chair' next. This is a dream job with an incredible local media company and an amazing team."
But the changes don't stop there. Zoellner Media Group is also on the hunt for a Program Director for their Hot AC station, 'Mix 96.5'.
